Arkansas Razorbacks Secure FAU Transfer Johnell Davis With Godfather Offer

The Arkansas Razorbacks have made another loud noise on the transfer portal front.

The initial plan of now former Florida Atlantic Owls star Johnell Davis after the 2023-24 college basketball season was to enter the transfer portal and declare for the 2024 NBA Draft. Well, the NBA is no longer part of his goals this year, as he’s decided to go to the SEC and play for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Arkansas Razorbacks Get Top Transfer Portal Player

Apparently, Davis could not say no to the NIL deal offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks.

BREAKING: FAU transfer Johnell Davis visited Arkansas this past weekend and is expected to sign with John Calipari and the Razorbacks, source told @TheFieldOf68 He has declared for the NBA Draft and his preference is to go pro, but Arkansas offered him a lucrative NIL deal north of $1 million, per source.

Davis a huge get for the Arkansas Razorbacks, who are now under a new head coach in John Calipari . Slowly but surely, Calipari is forming a formidable Razorbacks roster for the 2024-25 campaign. Before the news broke out about Davis’ transfer to the school, the Razorbacks had already gotten the commitments of a couple of key transfers in Jonas Aidoo from the Tennessee Volunteers and Zvonimir Ivisic, who followed Calipari to Arkansas from the Kentucky Wildcats.

In four seasons with the Owls, Davis averaged 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, while posting a 48.0 field goal percentage.
