Fulham boss Marco Silva insists defeat at home to Newcastle was undeserved.

Fulham lost 1-0 to a late goal scored by Bruno Guimaraes.

Silva said: There were some moments where Newcastle tried to break that momentum, when the goalkeeper was on the grass twice, and other players on the grass. Even so, we managed to keep up the intensity during the first half but unfortunately were unable to score.

The second half was different, our possession was not so good. Some of the balls that we lost started to give them the chance to play in the way that they like with spice, with Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak and Jacob Murphy, and they scored a goal where we should have been better.

That moment at the edge of the box was completely empty for the second ball it is something that we have to work on.

Overall, looking at the game, it is clear that we deserve more. The commitment, the ambition to win was there, but unfortunately we haven't scored with so many shots."
